Can Sleep Really Aid In Effective Time Management?

If we think about time management the first things that usually come to mind are organizing clutter, setting goals, and working on our tasks with more efficiency.

Yes it may be true that these are the top focus-points when it comes to managing our time, but you hardly ever hear advice on improving areas in our life which may have an indirect effect on our time, energy, and resources.

For example getting enough sleep… by getting enough quality sleep each night; your energy levels will stay maintained right throughout the day.

Below you will find 3 tips which will help you get all the rest you need, without the disruptions that usually lead to loss of sleep:

1. Try to avoid drinking both caffeine and alcohol five hours before retiring to your bed for the night. Both of these substances can have a very negative affect on your sleeping habits.

2. Go to bed before 10pm. Trust us, your body will thank you for it. It’s said “that for every hour in bed before midnight, it feels like two the next day”

3. Remove the telephone from your bedroom. By taking the phone out of your sleeping quarters, you will make sure your not being disturbed at night when resting. Simply use an answering machine in another room instead.

How To Control Your TV Habits

Below you will find 6 ways in which you can make better use of your time management, by simply controlling your TV habits…

The average person wastes over 65% of their free time by watching television?

Are you one of these people?

If you want to make better use of your time for more important things in your life, then you may need to kick-the-television-habit!

1. Try to ignore the TV and choose to work on hobbies you like and find interesting such as gardening, puzzles, reading, stamp collecting, etc.

2. Understand that you do not need to watch TV for the latest news and information. You have been programmed to do so since birth and with today's online news reports you do not need to get drawn back into watching television just to see what is happening out there in the world.

3. Only allow yourself to watch two hours of programming on Saturday and Sunday for an entire month. You will be amazed at how much more focused your time and energy will be.

4. Instead of simply watching sports games on TV, why not attend them instead? Not only will this get you away from the television but it can also create more quality time between you and your family and friends.

5. See if you can make it a point to go an entire week at a time without ever turning on your television. You should try this at least once per month, or more if possible...

The Art Of Getting Things Done

Have you ever had so much work or things to get done that you find yourself staring up into space trying to figure out where you should start, or what you should do next?

Assuming you have a list of items which you need to work on, then the best way to stay on top of your workload will be to keep that list of “Things-To-Do” fresh in your mind.

The real secret to getting things done during the day is to keep reminding yourself of any work that you may need to start or get finished...

You can do this by having a prioritized list of items that need to be accomplished during the day. And it’s not uncommon to have multiple tasks being worked on at any given time, with each one being just as important as the other.

In order to keep from drifting away from your current job, the best piece of advice that can be given is to keep your list of tasks fresh in your mind by reviewing them often throughout the day.

Keep your “Things-To-Do” list on top of your desk or in plain sight at all times...

Whenever you complete a task, take a look over at your list, cross it off, and then ask yourself “What is the best use of my time, right now?”

The simply move on to your next task...

If you have a big task to carry out which can sometimes feel unmanageable or overwhelming… then it may be best if you brake down your task into smaller, more manageable pieces – and then tackle it a bit at a time, you will have it finished in no time at all!

4 Simple Steps To The Life YOU Deserve!

Step 1: You First Need A Plan Of Action

Creating a vision for yourself and your life first requires you to ask yourself…

“What it is that gives my life meaning, purpose, and joy?”

Look at your talents. Look at your abilities. What makes you smile the instant you think about doing it? It’s very easy to determine what your special ability, gift or interest is. Simply ask yourself…

“What do I look forward to more than anything else in the world?”

Step 2: You Have To Tap Your Imagination

Now that you have decided to take action by creating a list of your talents, interests, and activities you enjoy the most, it is time to form a creative vision around them.

And you do this by doing what every person has the power to do at will:

Simply use your imagination to create your reality! Start imagining of all of the ways in which you can spend your time doing what you love most. Do not worry about everything making sense at this stage, just dream as if you were a young child again…

Step 3: You Must Set Your Goals Into Motion

Once you have decided what you want to do to create a better life for yourself by developing a vision, your next step is to set goals which will serve as stepping stones toward the attainment of your desired vision.

You can start setting these goals by asking yourself questions like…

“What do I want to accomplish with my life?”

”What kind of legacy do I want to leave behind?”

“What would I do if I had all of the money and time in the world?”

Make sure you keep your short term goals realistic and the rest - Big… be clear, to-the-point, meaningful, well defined, and above all - make sure your goals really Excite you!

Step 4: Always Enjoy The Journey You Are On

As you begin a new day today, always keep in mind everything which you have written down and envisioned for your better future…

You may not have the means to immediately jump into your desires, goals and plans above… but you can still start working towards them, by simply thinking of any outcomes you want to achieve while you are doing the best you can each day.

And of course you may still have to go to work today in the job that you would rather not have, deal with some problems, and do the things you must do which you would rather not be doing, etc…

But your real job now is to do them with vigor, happiness and excitement fully “knowing” that your future will change according to your vision when you are ready.

8 Easy Steps To Financial Freedom When You Retire

Do you know what your financial future will be like? Have you set up any goals which projects years ahead of today?

If not, then you may want to try setting up one year goals, five year goals, and maybe even ten or twenty year goals...

Have you ever thought about how much money you would like to have in your possession by the time you are 64 years old? Have you set up any retirement goals?

And do you know how much you will have to save in order to meet these financial goals?

The above are all types of questions which very few of us actually take the time out to consider, let alone write them down on paper as goals…

Now think about this for a moment. Most of us put more effort and energy into planning leisure activities than we do towards setting goals for our financial lives or futures - in which we only get one shot at.

It’s been said that most people will do more planning for a week's vacation, then they will their entire lives. Is it any wonder then that so many of us may feel somehow lost or without direction?

You must develop vision, clarity, and a firm idea of exactly what you want!

The first question we should ask is “How do I find out what my financial goals are?” This one is quite easy. Simply ask yourself specific financial questions that will turn out in the form of a 'financial analysis'.

Below you will find a few examples of questions that can help form a financial outline of where you want to be, what you want to do, or even where you want to go...

1. How much money would you like to make this month?

2. How much money would you like to make this year?

3. What point would you like to be at in your career and your income level in say the next 2 - 4 years from now?

4. What are the many options available and open to you to help raise your income to your desired level?

5. How much money will you need so that you may retire comfortably? And at what age do you desire to accomplish this?

6. What is your main goal when it comes to saving and investing to reach your retirement?

7. By breaking down your plan backwards, how much do you have to make each month or each week?

8. Are you taking action today from your financial working plan above?

Hard to imagine but, just by writing these answers down on paper and planning the steps it would take from where you are now to where you would like to be, you will have accomplished more planning than 80% of people do in an entire lifetime!

What Influences You Most In The Morning?

What do you think about the very first thing in the morning when you wake up?

The thoughts you have during the first half-hour of each morning will greatly influence your entire day. You may not realize this, but it is happening all the same.

If you set out each day with worry, fear, depression or bitterness, then you are laying the foundation for a day of discords and misfortunes. But if you think only peace, hope and happiness you are sounding a note of harmony, and surrounding yourself with words and thoughts of courage and success.

Now you may not feel the result right away, but it will not fail to make itself shown eventually. Control your morning thoughts. You can do it. The first moment on waking, no matter what your mood, say to yourself:

"I will get all the comfort and pleasure possible out of this day, and I will do something to add to the measure of the world's happiness or well-being.

I will control myself when tempted to be irritable or unhappy, I will look for the bright side of every event."

Once you say these things to yourself in a calm and positive way, you will begin to feel more cheerful. Your worries and troubles of the coming day will seem less and less of a problem.

Then also say:

"I shall be given help to meet anything that comes today. Everything will be for the best. I shall succeed in whatever I undertake. I cannot fail."

Do not let it discourage you if the moment you leave your room you encounter trouble or disaster...

This usually happens. When we declare we are brave enough to overcome any fate, we find our strength put to the test at once.

But that is all right. Prove your words to be true. Regard the troubles you encounter as the "obstacles" of fate, given you to develop your mind power muscles.

Go at them with courage and keep to your positive-morning-plan. Day by day your troubles will lessen, and you will soon find yourself master of your own Circumstances...

The Problem Of Delegation In Your Workplace

Unless you are lucky enough to be on a staff of go getters and hard workers, it is up to you to make sure you are properly managing and directing work.

And because it may also be your responsibility to assign specific tasks, you need to decide what to delegate and what not to delegate…

Below are 2 short and simple guidelines to help you with this:

1. Try To Delegate Tasks Which Are Routine, Simple And Necessary

These are the jobs which are easiest to delegate. Because they are tasks you have done so many times before...

You are already quite familiar with them; you also know the potential problems and how to solve them. And since you know the task so well, you can explain and delegate them away without any difficulty at all.

2. Delegate Tasks To The Specialties

Unless you are a doctor or surgeon, you would not perform surgery on anybody!

The same principles should also apply to your work. You should always make the most of any specialties which are in your office.

Say you were responsible for ordering a new computer system; you could delegate the research to the computer programmer in your office.

Or say you have an employee who is good at math; you can give that person the responsibility of double-checking the calculations in your reports and figures etc...

Let Go Of The Past And Look To The New Year

Do not begin the New Year by mentioning to yourself or others all your losses and sorrows. You must let the past go...

If a good friend gave you a present (say a nice new pair of shoes) would you insult her by throwing them aside and describing all the beautiful pairs of shoes you have had and already worn out in the past?

The New Year has given you the structure and material for a fresh start in life, why dwell upon the events which have already long gone, as the saying goes “let bygones be bygones”.

A "bygone" is something which has already happened; the time when it happened has "gone by".

Do Not Tell Me It Is Too Late To Be Successful Or Happy

Do not tell me you are sick or broken in spirit; the spirit cannot be sick or broken, because it is of energy.

Forget about all the money you may have lost, the mistakes you have made, the injuries you have received, the disappointments you have experienced...

It is unreasonable and untrue to imagine destiny has selected you for any special kind of suffering. Say to yourself with the beginning of this year that you are going to consider all your troubles as an education for your mind and that you are going to use them as lessons with witch to learn from.

Do Not Tell Me You Are Too Old

Age is all imagination. Ignore years and they will ignore you. Eat moderately. Exercise thoroughly and regularly.

Be alive, from tip to toe. Breathe deeply, filling every cell of the lungs for at least five minutes, morning and night, and when you draw in long, full breaths, believe you are inhaling health, wisdom, success and courage.

Anticipate good health. If it does not come at once, consider it a mere temporary delay, and continue to expect it...

If you will study your own mind and its limitless powers, you will gain a secret which shall give you whatever you desire.

Think of your body as the silver jewel box, your mind as the silver lining, your spirit as the gem. Keep the box polished and clear of dust, but remember always that the jewel within is the precious part of it.

Think of yourself as arriving just at the entrance or gate of never-ending success. A full, clear and glorious year lies right before you...

In a year you can gain health, fortune, calmness and happiness!

The 2 Modes Of Expressing Yourself – Which Mode Do You Use Most?

We find that there is 2 ways of looking at any situation we may find ourselves in, for instance you may have heard the saying…

“Is the glass half empty or is the glass still half full?”

These 2 ways of expression may well refer to the same situation, yet if we examine them both we will see that they actually divide the world around us into light or darkness, into positive or negative, into plus or minus.

Now which of the 2 modes do you use most when you are thinking everyday?

Your mode of thinking leads to attracting those very things into your life. If your goal is to make more money and spend less time working, then you are going to have to focus on thinking about success, and not fearing it.

If your thinking is all dark and negative… if you always fear failure, then you will most definitely fail. Even to run away from your given circumstances will do you no good. You see your circumstances will only follow you wherever you go.

This is because your environment and present circumstances cannot change for you until your mind and heart does!

You cannot become unhappy if there is no doubt or negativity in your mind, to make you unhappy...

Researchers state that the average person thinks about 70,000 thoughts each and every day. Now just imagine the potential of your thoughts if only a fraction were backed up by positive modes of thought and creative action.

Unfortunately for most men and women, virtually all of these thoughts are the same ones that the individual has always thought about over a long period of time.

In addition, the great majority of these thoughts are negative by nature, which in turn creates a current negative present time in your life…

A good example of this is that most people do not believe that wealth and prosperity is a lifestyle choice which is fully within their own control…

Many people hold the belief that the only way they will ever get rich is by robbing a bank, breaking the law or by winning the lottery etc…

Other people’s skepticism can also be just enough to kill your desire - to pursue what may have otherwise been a fantastic opportunity for you.

Anything that is worth doing is worth doing well, and nothing that is worth doing well can be done without positive effort!

Still though, many people work themselves to the bone instead of spending more time with their creative thought because they are ruled by fear and by pressure to “make something of themselves” that society expects of them.

How many of your 70,000 daily thoughts are spend on worry and fear as opposed to the creative and positive process?

Don't let fear and worry rule over your life anymore. Use your mind power to attract every positive thing in life which you could ever hope for or desire.

Go for your dreams and ignore anything else but your creative positive mind.

Try to never take what negative-people say to you seriously… as it is sure to discourage you from your efforts, but this is only if you let it do so!

You Need A Plan Of “ACTION” For A Positive-Mental-Attitude!

Have you ever wondered why some people are simply challenged by their problems, while the rest of us seem almost overwhelmed by them?

What is it that enables a person to come bouncing right back from their problems, while the rest of us going through the same defeat or problem… never quite seem to fully recover from it?

These positive-minded people may be of average intelligence, experience and looks – but they have mastered the simple art of motivation.

They approach each and every problem in their life with a simple “Can Do” attitude.

There is no question that a positive approach towards everything we do enables us to rise up above all our problems, even when all odds seem to be against you.

In fact studies have shown that the person who develops a positive-mindset tends to excel better in education… make more money… have better health… establish long and happy relationships, and may even live longer.

With that being said! Can we really afford not to develop a positive-mental-attitude towards everything we do?

Most successful people haven’t always lived a successful life… nor were any of them born with any special skills that the rest of us lack.

Quite the opposite, you see many successful people started out in very negative conditions, and almost all of them suffered some sort of setback at one time or another in their lives.

But along the way… these successful people went on to discover the mind power they needed for defeating problems and reaching goals.

These mind powers come so natural for some of these successful people that they put them to use, almost without knowing about it.

But the rest! Have had to turn themselves into positive-minded individuals by developing the “Can Do” attitude towards everything they set out to do.

But how did they do this you may ask?

They had the help of a deliberate plan…

And this plan is a one word plan called “ACTION”

Now when do you start taking yours?

Are You Building Up Your Self-Confidence?

Many people just do not value their self-confidence as positively and highly as they should…

Not only does having self-confidence help build character and attract good things into your life. It also can help you make more money…

Wait a minute! Did you just say that having self-confidence can help me to make more money? YES - of course it can.

But first you must have an understanding of the basic elements of “thinking”. In other words, you must know and believe that …

Thought, Is The “Cause”

And The Experiences You Meet In Your Life…

Are The “Effect” Of These Thoughts!

So what does this have to do with self-confidence?

Look at it this way, by developing self-confidence in the way you look, the way you act, how you talk, etc. You are making a continuous effort to become more positive.

In turn this positive thinking will help you to attract positive people into your life, positive situations, positive power, and yes, more money!

How To Develop A Winning Attitude - Your 3 Steps

When most of us think about goal setting, we often think about how we would plan our workload…

We may even think about our financial desires and gains - as well as our health and fitness goals.

On the other hand, how many of us really think about setting goals to be a more productive person each and everyday?

How about setting goals to think more positive around family and friends?

What about setting goals on how many people you can motivate today?

If you put effort into reaching your personal goals improving your self confidence, motivation, and positive thinking… then all of your bigger goals will-come-with-ease.

There are several ways in which you can empower yourself everyday.

We have put 3 below for you to write down in your list:

1. Develop Great Working Habits

Many of our work habits are the result of years of previous jobs and careers, some of which were counterproductive.

In order to break down your habits and change them for the better you must be willing to ask yourself;

“Why am I doing this particular task this way and how can I improve it?”

Always strive to work more efficiently and learn the art of prioritizing your tasks by creating work goals and following through with them.

2. Time To Take Responsibility

Once you begin to accept responsibility for everything in your life and all that you do, you begin to learn just how much control you have over your attitude, your life, and also your thoughts.

If you make a promise, then always try to keep it…

If you say you are going to do something, then make sure you do it. If you promise to deliver something at a specific time, then be on time!

Work to reach your goals each and every day…

3. Surround Yourself With Successful People

One of the fastest ways you can achieve a great level of success, is to develop an alliance with people that are already successful and have already achieved the same goals in which you are after.

To be successful at anything, you must not only think of success - you must also act successful!

Success in business and in life is a total-consuming attitude because everything that you do must be done with the best of your abilities, everything!

Make It A Goal To Go Out Each Day And Meet Enthusiastic Successful People…

One good example is joining a success discussion chat room or forum on the Internet and find out what the high achievers are up to by browsing around and asking questions.
