Inspire And Motivate Yourself!

Self-help is available at every corner you turn and you may not even realize it. The first thing you should do is make a list of self-help topics that interest you the most or you have inquired about in the past.

These should be topics you have at least some interest in and are willing to invest a little time learning. It may be helpful to start with your own interests.
For example, if you’re interested in writing, sports, finances, weight loss, etc… is a good place for you to start.

What self-help areas are you presently in at the moment?

Let’s say you are interested in losing weight. Maybe you have recently joined a fitness center and have been helping yourself lose weight daily. Maybe you’re interested in writing?

Always make a list of self-help topics you enjoy and you want to overcome and defy the odds. Maybe you are broke and want to overcome your debt. Reading a financial management book to help control your assets may be the best investment of your life. Your family and friends may not believe you can overcome your debt problems, but by believing in yourself and accepting the challenge hands on - should enable you to easily overcome your problems.

Just have patience and confidence in yourself. Confidence and a willingness to learn are the keys to overcoming any challenge. Have patience and be willing to accept self-help can be a major factor to anyone’s success.

I wish you the best of luck in your future career path!

How to Develop Real Peace of Mind

If we want to get anywhere in life we have got to learn how to develop peace of mind. When our mind is in turmoil, we cannot function properly.

You will make poor decisions and your life will take a downward spiral. One of the biggest factors that hold us back from having peace of mind is worry.

So if you find yourself worrying a lot, read on to discover how worry can ruin your life and also how you can stop it...

What Happens When You Worry?

You are sending negative thoughts to your subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind will then pick up on these negative thoughts and produce negative beliefs which lead to negative situations resulting from your negative beliefs.

If you worry about not having enough money to pay your bills, your subconscious mind will create situations where you will never have enough money to pay your bills. Your subconscious is very adept at picking up what you are feeding it and making it a reality.

Our thoughts are really energy that can get picked up by the people around us or by the higher powers of the universe. Maybe you don’t think that there is a higher power, but just because you don’t believe it, doesn’t mean that it isn’t there. So for the sake of this article we will believe in a higher power and how this higher power can affect your life.

When you are in a constant state of worry you are basically sending a message to the higher power that says “I don’t trust you” or “I don’t believe that you are powerful enough to help me.” When you send out this kind of message, you will not get any help to make your life better from the powers of the universe.

So How Do You Stop Worrying To Develop Peace Of Mind?

First of all, you have got to realize that only you are in control of your mind. You can choose what you think about. So you have to realize that worry is really negative thoughts and they must be stopped.
Every time that you start to worry, write down your worries on a piece of paper. Get it out of your system. Then just throw that piece of “worry paper” in the trash. You have just thrown away your worries!

Now think about what you want. Imagine yourself getting what you want. For example, if you want a new car, visualize this car. Imagine what if would feel like to drive your new car.

This is not easy to do at first, but the more you practice, the better you will get. See yourself in your new car, driving down the highway, smelling that new car smell. Keep this thought in your head as you think about ways to get your new car.

Never lose the vision of yourself in your new car and you will get that car. This can be applied to anything in your life. Ditch the worry and start to think positive. Always be grateful for what you have and what you will receive.

After you have changed your way of thinking and developed peace of mind, it’s important that you finally start living.

Do The Things That You Like To Do

Enjoy your life. Stop defeating yourself and live your life to the fullest. When you look back on your life in old age, you will be glad that you gave up the worry and focused on the positive...

What Is Personal Empowerment?

Personal empowerment, what does it mean to you? Achieving it is simply developing your abilities to influence events and people around you.

Taking control of your life or a particular part of your life where you want to make an impact...

Some individuals may have a sense of it more in a community or global arena. This would be organized empowerment, where they take up arms so to speak to influence a community, a local or national government; maybe address a global issue.

Personal empowerment is more intimate; not necessarily organized in the previous examples. It could be something in our lives we want to address, perhaps we think of it more as personal growth.

It might be career driven or even something of a spiritual nature. In the work force you might want to create a new you to feel better about yourself, to reach a new goal. Typically you might embellish your persona and try to play the part.

Personal empowerment is in knowing you are the person you want to be beyond the façade you’ve created. An example of this might be having a desire to move up into management. Sometimes it is the difference between thinking and knowing something about you.
For instance you could say to yourself “I think I can manage”; where as if you were empowered you would have the ability to say “I know I can manage”.

Individuals seek empowerment resources for any number of reasons. It could be to seek career advancement; work on a failing relationship; become a better parent; or get out of debt. In medical and psychological cases you might be trying to correct a bad habit; or overcome a learning or medical disability.

Whatever your need, the result will transition you to the place you need to be to address these issues...

Personal Empowerment Is A Real Solution

Unfortunately it might come off as either egocentric or maybe New Age; however it is actually a crucial element to our being. It enables us to stand up for ourselves and others. Through it we can achieve a sense of responsibility and hold ourselves accountable. It is meant to make us better individuals.

The health profession uses personal empowerment in a number of instances. There is a disability or recovery model used to implement personal empowerment. These models are used for individuals with mental illness or individuals recovering from rape or other traumatic stress.

We might not think of empowerment as being an essential part of our being but if we consider our actions and the actions of others it would be obvious to us that it is a part of all beings. We empower our children and family members; we empower our employees. It is a natural nurturing thing to do.
We tell ourselves to eat healthy, exercise, and gain knowledge; but we don’t recognize our actions as personal empowerment. It’s possible you’ve been unaware of this till now. Welcome to the club...

Mind Subconscious

Your subconscious mind is like a great servant to you, twenty-four hours a day it sits waiting to act on any order or command that your conscious mind may give it.

Together your conscious and subconscious minds form the ideal partnership. It is said that your conscious mind represents only 10 percent of your overall mind power and the remaining 90 percent, is under the control of your subconscious.

With 90 percent control our subconscious mind holds most of our power and controls almost all our actions and behaviour, even our progress and success is determined by our subconscious.

Your conscious mind is like the driver and is responsible for giving orders and setting your direction, and your subconscious mind is like the vehicle that must follow the driver’s commands.

However we are left with one function that your subconscious mind cannot perform, our subconscious cannot judge or question, it has no idea of right or wrong, good or bad and cannot tell weather something is true or false.

This job is left to your conscious mind, and your subconscious thoughts simply follow the direction your conscious thoughts have set for them. Every conscious thought you have is a command for your subconscious to follow!

Any thoughts we hold onto the most, often end up carrying the most emotions for us and in time become our most dominant thought patterns, these thoughts then become - what we could call, a road map for our subconscious to follow.

We never really stop to think about this and as a result, we glide through life almost on autopilot.

If we are not giving our subconscious mind the right thoughts and actions for it to follow, then it simply sets our most dominant thought pattern as the target weather good or bad and will act on it by default.

Let Your Subconscious Plan Your Life…

Most of us never fully make use of the mighty source of information, guidance, and inspiration we have access to, through the subconscious mind. By consciously instructing your subconscious mind to solve the questions and dilemmas that come your way, you may relieve your conscious mind of up to 90 percent of its worry and mental speculations.

You can avoid having to ponder over, or rack your brains, for the answer to every situation you find yourself in.

You can easily attain the habit of forming in your mind the questions to be answered, or the problem to be solved. Then you can purposefully turn over your problem to the subconscious mind, that will at once analyze it and separate it into its elements or separate parts, then proceed to solve and untangle the problem for you.

It is in this way the subconscious can relieve you of much of your work…

This in turn allows your conscious mind to occupy itself busily and effectively with other jobs and tasks, while important solutions are prepared for you effortlessly by your subconscious mind.

Your Mind Energy

We must know what we are, before we can fully use what we possess. When we proceed to apply the forces within us, we find 3 fields of action.

- The 1st is the conscious field, the field in which the mind acts when we are awake.

- The 2nd field is the subconscious, that field in which the mind acts when it goes beneath consciousness.

- The 3rd field is the super-conscious, the field in which the mind acts when it touches the upper realm, and it is when acting in this field that we gain real power and real inspiration.

To know how to act in this super-conscious field is therefore highly important, even though the idea may at first sight seem to be vague and somewhat mystical.

We are constantly in touch, with the super-conscious whether we know it or not. And we frequently enter this super-conscious, for instance…

- When we listen to inspiring music
- When we witness a nice and quite scene in nature
- When we read some book that touches the finer intellect
- When we listen to someone who speaks from the inner throne of authority

We also touch the super-conscious when we are carried away with, or by some tremendous ambition...

Therefore if you want to understand and apply all the forces you possess, you must train the mind to act through the super-conscious as well as the conscious and the subconscious.

It is when we combine mental action in the conscious, subconscious and super-conscious, that we get the results we desire. In brief, it is the full use of all the forces in mind through all the channels of expression that leads to the highest attainment and the greatest achievements.

Generally speaking we may say that the power of the mind is the sum-total of all the forces of the mental world including those forces that are employed in the process of thinking.

The power of mind includes the power of the will, the power of desire, the power of feeling, and the power of thought. It includes conscious action in all its phases and subconscious action in all its phases – in fact it includes anything and everything that is placed in action through the mind by the mind or in the mind.

To use the full power of your mind the first essential step is to direct every mental action toward the goal in view, and this direction must not be only occasional but constant!

Most minds however do not apply this law. They think about a certain thing one moment and about something else the next moment...

When you think of yourself, do not only think of that part of yourself that appears on the surface. That part is the smaller part and the lesser should not be pictured in mind. Think of your larger self, the immense subconscious self that is limitless in both power and possibility. Believe in yourself not just in a part of yourself.

Give constant recognition to all that is in you, and in that all have full belief and confidence - as in using the power of the mind, the deeper the action of thought, will and desire the greater the result.

In defining the subconscious mind, it is first necessary to state that it is not a separate mind. There are not two minds. There is only one mind, but it has two phases the conscious and the subconscious.

We should think of the subconscious as a finer mental force, having distinct powers, functions and possibilities, or as a great mental sea of life, energy and power, the force and capacity of which has never been measured. The conscious mind is on the surface, and therefore we act through the conscious mind whenever mental action moves through the surface of thought, will or desire.

But whenever we enter deeper mental action, we touch the subconscious, though we must remember that it does not become oblivious to the conscious every time we touch the subconscious, as the two are inseparable and united as one.

Being super-conscious means having achieved the middle point between consciousness and subconsciousness. It means a mind that has far greater ability and power then normal.

The True Importance of Affirmations

Most people have heard of affirmations before. They may have even heard that affirmations are the foundation for many self-improvement techniques...

Yet, despite of this, very few people actually use affirmations. Are you one of them?

Affirmations are important, but often overlooked when people set out on a new path of self-improvement. This is quite a shame because affirmations can have a transformative effect on your life and your goals. Without the proper use of affirmations, you may find yourself going around in circles in your progress.

Affirmations are defined as positive declarations, statements or judgments...

When you state an affirmation, you declare that statement as being true. Affirmations work best when they are used on a consistent basis, preferably daily. It is also suggested that you phrase your affirmations in the present tense and use positive words.

Affirmations that use the words “don’t” and other negative terms are counterproductive. So instead of affirming “I don’t want these bills” you would affirm “I have plenty of money for all of my needs.”

Many people resist using affirmations because they can’t understand how repeating phrases again and again will change their lives. If you fit into this category, you may not understand how the process of affirmations works.

Affirmations are just one piece of the puzzle when it comes to self-improvement. When you set out to make big changes in the course of your life, whether it is financial, physical, emotional or spiritual, you set goals for yourself.

These goals are results that you’d like to see take place in your life. You may want a better career, a fulfilling relationship, more money in the bank or a closer spiritual connection. These are all results that you can achieve -but you have to remember that they are just results.

Results can’t come without the rest of the process...

The results you are experiencing in your life right now stem from your previous thoughts, feelings and actions. So in order to change your results, you need to change your thoughts, feelings and actions. The first key in the process is changing your thoughts (which leads to changes in your feelings and actions). The best way to transform your thoughts is to use affirmations.

Your “internal monologue” has a profound impact upon your life. Your thoughts frame the way you experience events and relationships around you. If you are a pessimistic person and are consistently looking for the worst in everything and everyone, your feelings and actions will follow in that same line.

Self-improvement, of any type, requires that you change the way that you are thinking. Your negative thoughts didn’t come out of the blue. You are just acting out of habit as a result from repeating negative thought patterns again and again. Affirmations, and their repeated use, will help to break your negative thinking habit.

When you use affirmations consistently, your thoughts, moods and actions will begin to change...

If you think of achieving self-improvement success as someone trying to hit a target with an arrow, then affirmations are the targeting part of that process. If the archer doesn’t take the time to line up the arrow and the bow correctly, his or her shot will miss.

Affirmations help you target your feelings and actions so you can get the results that you want.

Every Choice You Make Counts!

Each experience we have in life shapes us into the people we become. Our reactions to those experiences have an equally profound impact on our character as well.

It all does come down to the choices we make...

There has been much talk lately of people not accepting personal responsibility for their actions. While it is disheartening to see among the masses, we are ultimately only responsible for our own actions. For our choices and our reactions.

So what choice are you going to make?

Are you going to make affirmations that will lead you on a journey to self-actualization and personal fulfillment or are you going to make excuses for your failures both emotional and financial? Are you going to be a slave to the opinions others may have of you or are you going to be your own person and stand up for what you know to be true?

It is a choice and you are the only one that can make that choice, but remember this, every day you choose not to do these things is one more day it will take you to reach your goals.

Every day that you straddle the fence is one more day that you could have been working towards your goals of success.

Only you can make the choice to begin the process and only you can make the choice to give up on the process. Every step of the way is completely your choice. This is a mental process that will take a large commitment on your part, this is literally a process of changing how you view the world and only you can make it.

Our choices in life set the stage for our successes and our failures, what are you going to choose and are you going to accept complete responsibility for the choice you make?

If you choose to pursue success and accept responsibility for your decision, then you are well on your way to the success you are seeking.

What are you choosing today that is impacting your life?

The Vision of James Allen, Part2

In Allen's own words...

The Vision of James Allen

"I looked around upon the world and saw that it was shadowed by sorrow and scorched by the fierce fires of suffering. And I looked for the cause. I looked around, but I could not find it. I looked in books, but I could not find it. I looked within, and found there both the cause and the self-made nature of that cause. I looked again, and deeper, and found the remedy. I found one Law, the Law of Love; one Life, the life of adjustment to that Law; one Truth, the Truth of a conquered mind and a quiet and obedient heart.

"And I dreamed of writing books which would help men and women, whether rich or poor, learned or unlearned, worldly or unworldly to find within themselves the source of all success, all happiness, accomplishment, all truth. And the dream remained with me, and at last became substantial; and now I send forth these books into the world on a mission of healing and blessedness, knowing that they cannot fail to reach the homes and hearts of those who are waiting and ready to receive them."

Every one of Allen's books are surprisingly straight-forward, practical and easy-to-follow. He never wrote for the sake of just writing, and he never dealt with theories!

As his loving wife - Lily once said...

"Allen wrote when he had a message, and it became a message only when he had lived it in his own life, and knew that it was good. Thus he wrote facts, which he had proven by practice"

And thus Allen teaches us two essential truths: today we are where our thoughts have taken us, and we are the architects - for better or worse - of our futures...

In short, "You Are What You Think" As James Allen states positively "That The Mind Is The Complete Master of Your Life"

From the smallest circumstances which surround you, to your physical health, to your personal level of abundance... every detail of your life is determined solely by the thoughts you first allow to flourish in your mind!

As these explosive secrets have already helped tens of thousands of people, gain the power to demand what they REALLY want from life. Now, it's time to put them to work for YOU!

I would like to give you a FREE copy of
James Allen's most timeless classic, As A Man Thinketh...

You can now, discover and also benefit fully, from the teachings - of the forefather of personal development himself.

Program Your Self-Esteem And What You Believe

Our self esteem is said to be the result of what we are programmed to believe…

Conditioning, from the day we were born, has created, reinforced, and almost set in stone for us - most of what we believe about ourselves, about others, and also what we believe about most of what goes on around us.

Whether this programming was right or wrong, true or false… the result of it is what we believe. It all starts with our programming!

Our programming sets up our beliefs, and the chain reaction then begins. In short, what we believe determines our attitudes, affects our feelings, directs our behavior, and also determines our success or failure:

Programming creates beliefs … Beliefs create attitudes … Attitudes create feelings … Feelings determine actions … Actions create results!

This is how our mind works.

If you want to manage yourself in a better way, and change your results, you can do so at any time you choose.
Simply start with the first step. Change your programming…

4 Simple Steps To The Life YOU Deserve!

Step 1: You First Need A Plan Of Action

Creating a vision for yourself and your life first requires you to ask yourself…

“What it is that gives my life meaning, purpose, and joy?”

Look at your talents. Look at your abilities. What makes you smile the instant you think about doing it? It’s very easy to determine what your special ability, gift or interest is. Simply ask yourself…

“What do I look forward to more than anything else in the world?”

Step 2: You Have To Tap Your Imagination

Now that you have decided to take action by creating a list of your talents, interests, and activities you enjoy the most, it is time to form a creative vision around them.

And you do this by doing what every person has the power to do at will:

Simply use your imagination to create your reality! Start imagining of all of the ways in which you can spend your time doing what you love most. Do not worry about everything making sense at this stage, just dream as if you were a young child again…

Step 3: You Must Set Your Goals Into Motion

Once you have decided what you want to do to create a better life for yourself by developing a vision, your next step is to set goals which will serve as stepping stones toward the attainment of your desired vision.

You can start setting these goals by asking yourself questions like…

“What do I want to accomplish with my life?”

”What kind of legacy do I want to leave behind?”

“What would I do if I had all of the money and time in the world?”

Make sure you keep your short term goals realistic and the rest - Big… be clear, to-the-point, meaningful, well defined, and above all - make sure your goals really Excite you!

Step 4: Always Enjoy The Journey You Are On

As you begin a new day today, always keep in mind everything which you have written down and envisioned for your better future…

You may not have the means to immediately jump into your desires, goals and plans above… but you can still start working towards them, by simply thinking of any outcomes you want to achieve while you are doing the best you can each day.

And of course you may still have to go to work today in the job that you would rather not have, deal with some problems, and do the things you must do which you would rather not be doing, etc…

But your real job now is to do them with vigor, happiness and excitement fully “knowing” that your future will change according to your vision when you are ready.

Your 5000 Year-Old Medical Secret Unearthed!

When you get sick, you go to the doctor. And the doctor will, of course, prescribe medicines…

You go and buy the medicines. You take them, and hopefully, you get well.

This is how the health profession goes on nowadays – a cycle of diagnosis and prescription.

If anyone were to give you herbs for medicine, you would probably say that this person was a quack.

But nowadays, studies are being conducted to see if there is really any merit to what is called natural medicine…

Natural medicine is the use of natural methods, herbal medicines, and traditional practices to heal ailments. Every culture has a form of natural medicine.

In ancient cultures, village medicine men served as the doctors of the community, passing on medical knowledge to the apprentices that followed them.

Many categories of the healing methods fall under natural medicine. Among these are traditional medicine, complementary medicine, and alternative medicine.

Usually, natural medicine refers to medical practices which were in place before the advent of modern medicine...

This includes herbal medicine, or phytotherapy, which is prevalent in Chinese, Ayurvedic (or Indian), and Greek medicine.

Upon the advent of modern medicine, many professionals discarded the use of herbs in favor of man-made medicine. The fact that these treatments are based on the healing properties of some herbs was forgotten.

For example, opium, digitalis, quinine, and aspirin all have their roots in traditional medicine…

Natural medicine can be considered as a lost art. This does not mean that it has lost efficacy over time. In some cases, natural therapy is actually as good as modern medicine. This leads some doctors to seriously consider and study the possible uses of natural medicine

Before we continue, it is important to stress that not all the natural remedies are legitimate. It would help to only try those remedies which have been thoroughly studied and are relatively risk free.

Take herbal medicine for example. There are many well-documented and studied herbal remedies available. However, only those that deal with minor ailments such as cough, colds, fever, skin rashes, and such are likely to be recommended by health professionals. These remedies are sometimes superior to synthetic medicine. This is because herbal medicines are less likely to cause negative side effects.

Currently there are numerous organizations which study the effects and advocacy of natural medicine – among which is herbal medicine. Some governments and health agencies openly advocate the use of natural methods since they are inexpensive and relatively risk-free…

As their studies compile, more herbs and treatments are added to the list of accepted medicines. However, many herbs and treatments have been proven to be bogus medicine.

This represents a challenge for both the user and the agencies because they have to ascertain that the treatments they either use or advocate are legitimate.

There exist today many alternative medical treatments that fall under natural medicine. However, not all of them have been proven to be effective. You could mention homeopathy, aromatherapy, acupuncture, and other alternative medical treatments.

It would pay to consult the experts as to the legitimacy of these treatments.

Natural medicine should also be thought of as an accompanying medicine. Right now, the current collective medical thought suggests that natural medicine be used only to supplement accepted modern medical practices.

In that case of minor ailments your expert may actually advise you to take natural therapies instead.

The practice of modern medicine revolves around diagnosing an illness and prescribing treatments for such. Natural medicine is helpful because it suggests that treatment be not necessarily given only when sick.

Natural medicine strives to make each patient practice good health habits. These habits include good diet, healthy living, and the regular natural treatment…

It’s this same line of thought which leads our parents to tell us to eat our vegetables.

Yes, a healthy lifestyle will do no harm to our well-being. And this is the foundation of natural medicine – may it be massage, herbal medicine, aromatherapy or others.

It is funny but true that science, in its quest for excellence, is studying the knowledge of sages past… this, surprisingly, leads us back to the remedies nature offers.

The possibilities of finding remedies to everyday illnesses in natural medicine are encouraging.

So studying these remedies is worthwhile until we can verify that these therapies are truly helpful to our health and also our society.

Your 7 Days Program To Self-Improvement

There are many ways to lose your sense of self-esteem despite of how trivial it could get. But whatever happens, we should try to never lose our own sense of self…

So what does it take to be a cut above the rest? Here are some of the things you can think and improve on which should be enough for a full week.

1… Always Know Your Purpose

Are you wandering through life with little direction - hoping that you'll find happiness, health and prosperity?

Identify your life purpose or mission statement and you will have your own unique compass which will lead you to your true north every time.

This may seem tricky at first, even more so if you see yourself to be in a tight or even dead end situation.

But there's always that little loophole to turn things around and you should always carry on no matter what – this alone can make a big difference towards your situation.

2… Always Know Your Values

What do you value most? Make a list of your top 5 values… some examples are security, freedom, family, helping others, self-improvement, learning etc…

As you set your goals for 2006 – check your goals against your values. If the goal doesn’t align with any of your top five values – you may want to reconsider it or make a few revisions to it.

The number of goals you may have shouldn’t discourage you; instead it should motivate you to do the best that you can, and attain more than you ever dreamed of.

3… Always Know Your Needs

Unmet needs can keep you from living happily. Take care of yourself. Do you have a need to be acknowledged, to be right, to be in control, to be loved?

There are so many people who lived their lives without realizing their dreams and most of them end up being stressed or even depressed for that matter.

List your top four needs and get them met before it’s too late!

4… Always Know Your Passions

You know who you are and what you truly enjoy in life. Obstacles like doubt and lack of enthusiasm will only hinder you, but will not derail your chance to become the person you ought to be.

Express yourself and honor the people who has inspired you to become the very person you wanted to be.

5… Always Live From The Inside Out

Increase your awareness of your inner wisdom by regularly reflecting in silence.

Commune with nature. Breathe deeply to quiet your distracted mind. For most of us city slickers it’s hard to even find the peace and quiet we want even in our own home.

You could try sitting in a dimly lit room and play some of your favorite music.

There’s sound, yes, but music does soothe us at times.

6… Always Honor Your Strengths

What are your positive traits? What special talents do you have? List three – if you get stuck, ask those closest to you to help identify them for you.

Are you creative, witty, easy going, good with your hands?

Find ways to express your authentic self through your strengths. You can increase your self-confidence when you can share what you know with others…

7… Always Try To Help Or Serve Others

When you are true to who you are, living your purpose and giving of your talents to the world around you, you give back in service what you came to share with others…

The gains for sharing your gift with those close to you are indeed rewarding, much more if it were to be the eyes of a stranger who can fully appreciate what you have done for them.

Self-improvement is indeed one type of work that is worth it. It shouldn't always be within the confines of an office building, or maybe in the four corners of your own room…

The difference lies within ourselves and how much we want to change for the better.
